This Privacy Statement sets out how we collect and manage personal information, and the steps we take to protect it. We respect your privacy and will not divulge your personal information that you provide to Piper Property Management unless requested by you or where we are required by law to do so. You have the right to access your personal information which may be held by Piper Property Management in relation to our direct dealings.

In the course of providing our services, we collect personal information in a variety of ways –

  • You become a client of Piper Property Management
  • You become a tenant when you lease a property
  • You make an enquiry about our services
  • You have requested to be placed on one of our mailing lists

We collect We use personal information primarily for the purpose for which it was collected. Because most of our information is collected from you directly, you will normally be aware of the purpose of the collection. Emails may be sent to you to advise you of news, our services or special offers.

Use of the information for a secondary purpose

We may sometimes use the personal information we collect for a secondary purpose, that is, for use in a way different from the original reason for collection. We will only do this in the following circumstances:

In order to provide our services, we engage a number of contractors. These may change from time to time, but range from property valuers, tradespeople and photographers. All may have access to your personal information for the purposes of rendering their services.

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure the security of all personal information we collect. This involves protecting it from misuse and loss, as well as from modification and disclosure. The electronic databases that hold information as well as our internal systems are designed to restrict access to only those people who require specific information. In addition, your personal information is only kept while it is required for the purpose for which it was collected or for a permitted secondary purpose.

Correcting information

You can request that information about you be corrected or deleted. This is part of our commitment to take all reasonable steps to ensure that the information we hold is accurate, complete and up-to-date.
